Instant Food

My friend has been 'influencing' in getting a multicooker because I told her I am so sick of cooking. Being a marketing background , she can really 'sell' whatever that she wants to recommend. By the way she is not selling cookwares, she's from IT background. She was telling me how easy it was to just chop, dump and press button and bravo you have a 'less oil, healthy meal'.

I was tempted nevertheless but I definitely won't look for one that is high end like 'thermomix' which might just end up as a white elephant in the end. Knowing so well , I am those that is 'hot hot chicken shit'...sorry that was how my boy described the 'hangat hangat tahi ayam'., I definitely not going to invest in any cookware that is more that RM1K.

Anyway, while I was walking aimlessly while waiting for hubby to get his haircut, I saw these.
Ready to eat 'kimchi' and 'nyonya acar'. Can't remember the price.

Ready to eat Marinate Black Pepper Beef, Lamb and Chicken Chops. Not sure if this is about RM19.90. My memory is too warped.

Ready to eat Spaghetti Bolognise,Pasta Carbonara, Lamb Lasagna, Vege Lasagna. I think it is around RM9.9 per pack.

The packaging are so attractive and I am so tempted to get them for 'lazy days' which can prove to be quite many!

Anyone tried these, If you have please let me know? I doubt it can be really nice as I have never tasted anything instant that is nice.

Small to Big

You know they are growing fast when :

a) They stop sharing a bowl of noodles or a plate of rice with each other.
b) They started ordering 'Big' for their food order.
c) They start digging for biscuits right after a heavy meal.
d) They are always hungry.

You know they are growing fast when :

a) The school pants you bought for them before school starts suddenly became the right size and length once school starts.
b) The sports shoes you sent for repair because it is their favourite, came back as new but they suddenly find that it is too tight and they can't fit it in anymore.
c) All their short pants looks too small and tight suddenly.

You know they are growing fast :

a) When they think you are outdated
b) When they think you don't understand them
c) When they like to act 'cool' ...whatever that means.
d) When they emphasizes on 'privacy' all the time.
e) When they feel having a handphone is a necessity.

You know they are growing fast :

a) When your holiday plans no longer revolves around 'swimming pools and theme parks' but 'good food' instead

You know they are growing fast :

a) When they are taller than their mom and dad!
b) When everyone starts to comment " Wah , so tall already! "

Yes, my boys are growing up really fast. I hope their brain is growing as fast too.

When they were small, I can't wait for them to grow up. Now I really missed their 'younger days of innocence'.

Sunflower Seeds aka kuaci

I love munching on kuaci(s) during my free time which is not much so usually I'll munch when watching tv. My love for kuaci(s) go way back to schooldays.

Image result for sunflower seeds

It has been a long time before I started munching again...partly kids are quite grown up and I usually rest a little in the night after dinner.  However I found that each time after eating kuaci(s), I either have ulcers or can feel a sore-throat coming. God knows what chemical they used to clean the seeds during manufacturing process.

Sunflower seeds has 5 health benefits and I used that as an excuse to continue munching although I know the end result if I do. I really have low threshold when it comes to eating. I just succumbed to temptation all the time!!!

So what are the benefits? Briefly...

1. Promotes Cardiovascular Health - vitamin E and folate

2. Phytosterols Promote Healthy Cholesterol Levels

3. Potent Source of Magnesium. Magnesium deficiency can lead to a variety of heath problems that affect the cardiovascular, nervous, and immune systems. The muscles and skeletal system also require magnesium for proper function.

4. Supports a Healthy Mood

5. Contains Selenium: A Powerful Antioxidant and Great for Thyroid Health

And how do I counter-act the after effects of munching kuaci's? With a packet of Izumio lor !!!!
Image result for image of Izumio

It really works to keep the ulcers and sore-throat away.

What about you? Do you like munching on kuaci(s)? Do you get ulcers or sore-throat like me after eating. I don't experience this previously. Either my immune has gone down or they really use harsh chemical in cleaning. By the way, I get those kuaci(s) from pasar malam and I prefer this version of kuaci(s) compared to others!!!

Farewell

I hate farewells but I guess it is something inevitable in our lives. It's sad to see a friend leave either for another state, country or world.

Last Friday, I went for my home fellowship's ex-leader's wife farewell as she will join her hubby who is called to fulltime ministry in Australia. Although I don't know her that well because I joined the home fellowship when it has already been established for years. When I knew her , this sister went through a very difficult time of cancer battle of her son. There were ups and downs and finally the Lord called him home. But her amazing composure throughout all these speaks volumes of her faith.

So we went to Restaurant Talipon at Kuchai Lama. I passed this steamboat bbq buffet place many times but dare not go in because it's buffet and my kids don't eat seafood much so 'rugilah'. However when I went there I was surprised to see a huge spread of 'items' there for only RM33.80 minus gst. I understand that the price increases almost yearly. Just a glimpse of what they have. There were lots more and I think I will bring the kids the next time although for the younger one, it will not be worth it as he is soooo...picky.

After we walloped everything , each of us have to say something to our sister in christ. Not too long ago, I went for my cousin's 70th birthday ( ya my cousins and us are a huge gap because my dad is the youngest in a family of 9. So some of their kids are as old as me!) . Many took the opportunity to tell about their appreciation for the birthday girl and how she has impacted their lives. I think this is much more meaningful than saying all the good things during funeral when one could not longer hear.

Finally , one for the album.  All the best sister Amy ( 2nd from left, sitting)
As for the dinner, I truly enjoyed it. Ate so much......

Tortoise Crossing The Road

The other day, while on the way to fetch my son from school, I saw a tortoise crossing the road. I was a little panicky and was worried that I might hit it. It's a 2 lane one way road. It was moving from the 2nd lane to my lane. Luckily it was slow enough for me to pass through first.
Image result for tortoise crossing the road

The tortoise was the size of a 'young adult' perhaps. Not sure why it is crossing the road. It's only the LRT station over the other side.
I was rather amused because this is the first time I've encountered a tortoise on my pathway. So being 'eat full nothing to do', I googled to find out if it holds any significant meaning. Of course, I don't believe in myths and superstitions, just out of curiousity.

One version from here said :

If Turtle has crossed your path:

He is usually giving you the message that “slow and steady wins the race” Pay attention to details in your current project and take your time with it. Don’t be tempted to skip steps or take short cuts. You will get there! Just trust in the process and stay in the moment. Bigger, stronger, faster are not always the best ways to reach your goals.
Turtle can also be a signal that you need to ground yourself and your energy to Earth.

But it was 'turtle' not 'tortoise'. Anyway, doesn't seem to relate to me in any way.

However, my secondary Maths Teacher used to tell us " Slow And Steady Masuk Longkang!"

Hmmm.....any of you encouter any creatures crosssing your pathway? Snake, Cats, Iguanas, Chicken...these I've seen.

Wayne's Cafe

I don't normally post about food because I am lousy at reviewing food. It's either nice or not nice to me.

Recently I visited  Wayne's Cafe at Sri Petaling because I saw my neighbour went there too! Lol...sounds like a stalker! Found that the food is nice with a portion which is neither too big nor too small for me. Ok, I got the picture from their website because I normally don't take photo of my food. The moment the food is on the table, we quickly say grace and start digging almost like some hungry refugees.

We ordered this. Their signature Roast Pork platter served with brown gravy & house apple sauce.

And this - Classic Hainanese Fried Noodles

And finally this - Spanish Pork Chop with Apple Ring and Brown Sauce

I like the Spanish Pork Chop the best.

Partial view of the cafe, not a big place but cosy.

Heard that their coffee is very good. I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.

Floaters..please go away

About 3 weeks ago, I suddenly have a surge of floaters 'running' left and right, up and down. It was so irritating. I always hear of people having floaters and now I too experienced them. Image result for floaters

Image result for floaters
It happened during school holidays and even eye specialists go for their break too. Goggled for recommended specialists and found one by the name of Prof Angela Loo. She is attached to UMMC and UMSC.

Tried to get a appointment soonest possible but she was away on holiday. This was about 6 days after I discovered my floaters. Of course I started to load myself with 6 Super Lutein a day. Previously I have been taking 2(below minimun recommended) and on and off forgot to take. It started to stabilise in the sense that I mostly see that towards the top of my eyes.

We also tried our luck at other specialists , they were closed too as it was Malaysia day. Hubby then tried to call and check for me and found that I can actually get to see Prof Angela Loo on Sunday, the day after she is back from her holidays.  It was at her own private practice in Setia Alam.

On Sunday, I went for my 11 am appointment. She only  turned out at 12:45 pm? 1 hour 45 minutes late!!!!! Anyway,  I went in to see her and after some procedure , she said I had a tear in my retinol. Thank God , it was not retina detachment. The tear is somewhere at 11 o'clock ( using my eyeball as clock) at my right eye. I was told to wait for 20 minutes which turns out almost 3 hours later!!!!! She was  treating one patient after another.

The laser treatment for my eye took about 15 minutes. When the nurse told me it was going to be a very fast procedure, I thought it would be like 2 gun shots and kao tim!!!! It was uncomfortable and a little painful at times. My eyes were so dilated I could hardly walk properly. I was given a bottle of antibiotics eyedrops to drop 4 times a day.

Yesterday (10 days later) , I went for my follow-up treatment in UMSC as Setia Alam is so far away. So glad to find that my eye has healed well and no other new 'hole' occurs. Actually I was a little shock to hear her say 'no new hole' , I definitely didn't expect this. Can't imagine having to go thru the process again.  I will however continue to see floaters for a few more weeks ( according to the doctor) but it is a lot less. Less in the sense that when I am indoor, I hardly see them but when I go outside or under bright lights I see them again. Of course after the laser treatment I loaded myself with 6-9 Super Lutein and now that my eyes has somewhat heal, I need to cut down on my dose else brankrupt!!!

Image result for Super Lutein

My left eye is a lazy eye. I can't read with it. So I was very worried when I find out that the floaters were in the right eye. My worries are all written on my face, because Prof. Angela kept telling me " I know you are very anxious, just relax"! Up till now, I can't see a screen for long. My eyes will feel very tired. Need to jaga...only one good eye left!!!!

Let's see how long before my floaters completely disappears.

Sapu cobwebs....and teenage acne

It is so hard for me to sit down and write after a long hiatus. So many things have come and gone.

Was struggling with my boy's acne that looks like mushroom that springs up after a rainy day. Tried several facewash recommended by friends. Didn't work, went thru more breakouts or purging as some would said it.

It started with small pimples that just spreaded over the whole face. I attributed his skin problem to his late nights...very late nights because he naps in the afternoon and became very active in the night!!! Coupled with his appetite for spicy food....eer...this one takes after me. Don't say about him, even I can't control my food intake when I was young and plagued with acne too. Ooops...its my fault..bad genes.

Finally, decided to send him to a Chinese Sinseh in Happy Garden.  Her diagnosis is that my boy's body is very heaty. She speaks mandarin so with my half-past-six mandarin with an equally hopeless chinese ed son..I probably can't get fully what she meant.

So I have to boil some most horriblelooking herbs and tasting herbs in which he cursed like mad while drinking. After a few rounds, the curses died.

Can you see those " kumbangs". I didn't dare to show him.

Other than that , I too have  to get him to abstain from chicken, soya milk, oily food, spicy food, lamb, nasi lemak in which a huge chunk are his favourites. Not forgetting, drink lots of water.

In the beginning it was soooo.....hard. I don't know what to cook, what to buy , how to cook. Luckily, can eat pork and japanese food. Meals became very expensive too.. japanese food wor.

It was amazing that we were so 'guai' and followed through for 5 weeks now without breaking the rules intentionally. I said intentionally because the other day he ate chicken spagetti. He sure does it better than me when I was younger. I couldn't resist asam laksa despite ruining my face!

He is now very much better but has lots of pimple marks to deal with.  And also to find a suitable cleanser because I find that even as his pimples are clearing up, he is getting those small headless pimples with bumps that you could only see under light.

The sinseh recommended the crocodile oil soap...all natural and handmade. I tested the soap myself, it is not drying like other soap or facial wash but it doesn't foam ( which is  a good thing...soap free) but I don't feel like my face is cleansed properly. Anyway, it seems ok so far, didn't have breakouts.

I think we will persevere up to 2 months or less...we're going into our 6th weeks before letting him try some of the forbidden food bit by bit.

His sinseh also recommended him to go for facial to speed up recovery but I have no confidence in any beautician that I have not heard of. So many has testified how they ended worst after facial.

Sigh....as if life is not stressful enough. I look around each time we go out, everyone seems to have flawless  skin and we have to struggle so much!!!

Happy Teacher's Day

Every year , I used to give red coloured pen to the boys' teachers. Then recently I made metal bookmarks for them.

Now when my son wants to give teacher's day gift up to a dozen of them, I really have no 'steam' to make the bookmarks.

So this year, the teachers had this.

Handmade Soap by a friend. The soap smells so good that one would be mistaken that it is edible.
The different flavours of soap in this soap set are : Lemon, Coffee Tangerine, Lavender, Peppermint.

Before I receive this loot, I told my boy that if any of his teachers is absent, pass the gift to his previous years teachers.

After I receive the loot, I told my boy that if any of his teachers is absent, bring the gift back for me!!!!

Obviously my son doesn't agree. Hmmm....he loves his teachers more than he loves me.

The younger one would only give to his class teacher because they actually pooled their funds to get gifts for all their teachers already.

I hope the teachers like the gift....something different from the norm.

OKU Parking Lot

If you ever see someone(able-bodied) parking at the OKU parking lot, would you go and tell the person off? Or maybe not so rude but would you go and kindly asked the person to park elsewhere?

Today, I saw a lady parking at the OKU lot to go to the nearby market and I was in dilemma whether to tell her or not. In the end , I didn't. Should I? There were other parking lot not too far off though.

What if there is no other parking lot available and you really need to park there? Would you park there and leave your contact for whoever concern to notify you if they needed the lot? I am not sure either. I probably won't do it but in case of emergency.....I may kua....

After that as I was driving back, I saw another lady doing reverse parking when the parking lot has an wooden crate ( those that used to store oranges) left in the middle of the lot. She just reverse into the parking lot dragging the crate along???? I guess the shopowner probably left the crate there to 'chop' the parking.

Aaaarghhh..........probably she is not fully awake.

Garlic

I have a garlic fan at home - my older boy. Actually, I like putting lots of garlic in my cooking too.
Nowadays my boy would ask for a clove of finely chopped garlic to be mixed into his white rice.

This morning I went to the market to buy just 3 heads of garlic.  When I do marketing, I seldom asked for the price before hand. I just pay although sometimes the prices caught me by surprise.

So I went and choose this not very nice garlic but since I am out of it, just getlah.

Guess how much?  I dropped my jaw and thought I heard wrongly. I always thought garlic and onions are quite cheap.

Well, that cost me RM3.80.  I was expecting RM1.80 or something like that. Since I used to buy with other stuffs like shallots, ginger, I always have the impressio that it is quite ok ok lah.

I better don't go on garlic spree after this.

Crazy About Cincau

Of late, I have been crazy about cincau.  Hopefully I don't end up a diabetic , walloping 2- 3 glasses full of cincau everyday.

At the same time, I made guilinggao, cut into strips just like how I cut the sweetened cincau and dump them into my rock honey syrup. By the way, I don't like this brand of guilinggao. it is hard to disolve unlike the other brand I tried earlier.

Here's my refreshing guilinggao + cincau drink. Purposely put it next to my plant to show the height of my plant, so that I will know how much it has grown the next time.

Anyone else like cincau like me? It's addictive.

My maiden bonsai

I never really planted anything although I like looking at plants and flowers especially succulents.
That's because I am so scared or earthworms or anything that look like worms...eee...so geli. I remembered when I was doing my Bio practical exams in Form 6, I asked the invigilator to put the earthworms into the testube because there is no way I was going to do it!!! And bless the invigilator, he actually did it for me!

So you can see, I have no knowledge about taking care of plants except watering them. My mum however has green fingers. When I go back to my hometown, we usually get to eat the vegetables from her garden.

One day, I was doing my grocery in AEON Big and I saw this bonsai and my itchy hands decided to get it.
After one month, my plant grew. I was so happy.

Hopefully the plant doesn't grow any bigger. I don't want to transfer to bigger pot..I might just killed it. Not sure if I need to do anything else e.g add fertiliser? Plant experts? I only know how to water!!!

Last weekend we went to watch "Kid From The Red Apple" at Tropicana City because we heard so much good reviews about it.  When we heard good reviews about Ola Bola, we went for it too. I have to say while Ola Bola exceeded our expectations, this one is just 'normal' to us. Yes, it teaches good values but we do get lots of those from Singapore drama series. Anyway, credit must be given to the little girl, Sarah. She embraced her role very well.

After the movie I chanced upon a small stall selling cute little plants. So my little boy decided to get me one for my early birthday. I think this is the first time he gave me something out of his own pocket and while I pity him forking out his hard earned cash, decided to choose a small plant although he asked me to get a bigger one.

Top View

Top View. Apparently this plant absorbs 'radiation'. I don't know its name. It cost RM33. It looks big here but it is actually quite small. Hopefully it survives for sometime.

When I Don't Know What To Cook

When I don't know what to cook , I'll do a one pot dish. In this case it is bee hoon soup.

Dump everything with chicken stock ( boil bones with ikan bilis). Each time when I cook this, the things that goes  inside will defer slightly. It all depends on what I can find from my fridge ( as always no planning). Mushroom, sawi, cabbage, tomato, chicken, chai boh and sour vegetable.

And must always be accompanied with this dipping. Red Chilli seeded, chopped garlic, lime and soya sauce. Most important, nobody complaints.

OK , one dinner kao tim!

Friday's Drama

I haven't even gotten over on Tuesday's Drama, and he gave me another one last Friday.

Went to school with this bag.

Came back with this one.

..........................
..................................

..................................................

Pengsan!!!!

Anyway, it wasn't so scary this time because since the bag was exchanged in school, he know it will be found. Apparently his friend took his first ( another blur sotong) , and he just grab this one because his transport was waiting for him. But he only realised that it was the wrong bag when he reached home. I wonder what he was doing during the entire journey.

He got back his bag the next day ( Saturday) because they had parents-teachers meeting. Phew!

Dozing Off

The weather has been so hot these days that it is causing my elder boy to fall asleep on his chair.
For a boy that hardly naps nor sleep late, this phenomena is quite unusual.

He just couldn't keep his eyes open. He will be sitting on his chair reading on one moment, and the next I will find him sleeping. This can happen over and over again after waking him up several times within that few minutes even if he had just had his bath. We first noticed when we found him sleeping upright in the car after coming back from church.

When I picked him up from school yesterday, he told me he dozed off in his class!!! Alamak, I asked whether he was caught sleeping. He said 'no' because he woke up right after the next teacher came in.

So when I relayed that to my younger boy when I picked him up later , he said " Aiyah, I dozed off so many times in class during moral lessons". Goodness gracious, the way he puts it, is like 'No big deal lah'.

Nowadays children......still I hope it is just the weather and nothing serious. If you know my elder kid, he had all kinds of uncommon issues with his health of which many he has outgrown. That is why I am paranoid, if something unusual coming from him.

Consumer Rights

Can't think of a proper title for this post.

Yesterday, I went to SOGO to get a new pair of slippers. Mine was almost broken into half!!! I frequent this place because of the Vouchers that I get from mainly Maybank points.

While I used to be able to find stuffs that I want here i.e clothings , footwear etc, nowadays I find it more difficult to get clothes. Footwear is still ok.

Anyway, I went to the counter and there was an elderly couple in front of me. They bought some clothes and shoes. After paying, she asked the cashier to remove the shoe boxes because she doesn't want them. Oooohhh....I didn't know we can do that. I have too many shoe boxes at home , will keep them till no more space, then recycle. Next time, I should just leave them behind like the lady.

My friend always say I don't know my consumer rights. She is right....almost like katak dibawah tempurung.  Sometimes when I go marketing, I find myself so amazed at the different customer demands. I didn't know one can asked the chicken seller to debone the thigh until I read it from someone's blog.

I also didn't know, when you order food for example oyster and abalone egg, you can asked to mix because I see the menu shows them separately. I know you can request for mix of noodles though.

Lots of things which I've forgotten now.  Sooo....sua ku of me! But I am learning...to open my mouth and ask.

Tuesday's Drama

Every Tuesday, my younger boy will have to stay back in school for his prefects' meeting. As a result , he has to take the LRT to come back and I will pick him from there.

My younger son is very absent minded. No amount of advice, repetitions, nagging, reminder will ever make him 'error' free. He will lose his things ranging from rackets to water tumblers. I've read about his character, it is called 'popular sanguine personality' ( The Extrovert * The Talker * The Optimist).
He is someone that never cares for small details and the way he does a 'normal' thing is often very dramatic. For example, when he comes back and changed into his usual shirt, he will removed his uniform and threw it across the room and ended up in the ceiling fan. It is just him, the last minute boy and to me totally irresponsible. So I thought when he was nominated for prefect, I told him to take up the role so that he may learn to be more responsible. In school, however he behaves well and the teacher will look at me as if something is wrong with me when I tell them he is very 'laid-back' in his work. He is also a natural joker that makes me laugh almost daily.

Back to Tuesday, I saw him coming out from the LRT Station while waiting in the car. Then I noticed he was not carrying his homework bag. He has 2 bags , one back pack and another homework bag to spread the load of his super heavy books. The moment he came into the car, I asked him about his homework bag....and he goes.."Oh Gosh....I left it on the train".

I was so aghast and quickly took him back to the station and asked the counter guy for help. At the same time praying so hard that some kind soul will return his bag. Unfortunately, he told me the train has gone back to KL. Anyway, he asked for details about the bag and made calls to the train and all the respective stations to look out for the 'bag'.

After waiting for quite awhile, he asked me to go home since no one has responded of anything found. I left my number with him and went home waiting anxiously for the phone call.

Back home, I had avalance of questions. Suddenly, he told me he wasn't sure if he left the bag in the train. I almost exploded, if not in the train , then at the station that he boarded his train? He tried so hard to remember but could not recollect where the bag is.

That night, I gave him a good scolding and told him to fix his own problem. He has to buy the books that he lost with his own money , and redo all those work in the exercise books that went missing as well.  ( By the way, he earns quite a tidy sum of money by helping his friends to solve their phone problems...for that I have to salute him!).

The next morning, he told me " Mom, I think I didn't take the bag to the LRT station because I remembered my hand was like this ( showing me his hand position). I think I left it in the prefects' meeting room. A glitter of hope.....

In the afternoon, I went to pick him up from school. After the bell rang, my legs went wobbly and my heart was pounding furiously. What if....it was not there! I saw him from a distance and to my relief, he was holding his homework bag. Phew! Well, you would have thought he has learn his lesson but I can tell you, he will continue to give me heart attack moments.

He really has poor memory and sometimes I wonder if all the head knocks he had when growing up was responsible for his 'memory problem'. He was a very active and clumsy toddler.

Well....life has gone back peaceful until the next episode!!!

Herbal Jelly

The weather is so hot these days. Besides boiling crysanthemun drink which I can never do it correctly, I also tried making herbal jelly for the first time.

This packet of herbal jelly was given by a friend who got it from Nibong Tebal. Haven't checked if I can get it from the Chinese Medicine Shop here. At first I thought it would be bitter like 'Gui Ling Ko' but its not. It is slightly bitter and surprisingly my children did not protest when I asked them to try. They don't really like jelly in the first place and their willingness to take a few mouthful were encouraging. Anyway, this packet of herbal jelly has been sitting in my cupboard for several months now.  And I think I'm hooked on it.

Although the instructions are in Mandarin and I have to ask No2 to translate and still wasn't sure of the correct way, it still turn out fine. Basically, it is so easy. Pour the jelly powder to a saucepan. Put in water slowly and try to dilute it. Then heat up the mixture and stir slowly for about 5 minutes. Pour into the container, make syrup and eat it after it is cool/refrigerated.

Ex-NCR Reunion

Last Friday, me and my ex-colleagues from NCR decided to meet up at Alexis, The Gardens.

I was so glad to meet up with mostly my juniors, my boss, my peers. It was kind of surprise because we did it in such a way, that I assign 2 other friends to gather a few others. Except for the 3-4 of us, the rest do not know the full attendance list. It was meant as a surprise especially to my boss or should I say my ex-boss. We called him Datuk. He is my longest serving boss and have my utmost respect. If there is anything that I want to learn from him , is his EQ.

One for the album....

All in all we have 6 ladies and 6 men. Of course one who didn't confirm and turn up much to our pleasant surprise. Two others couldn't make it due to last minute work commitment.

My own batch is not here. Hopefully one of these days, I will be able to gather them. Now all these started because not too long ago, my ex-boss ( Datuk ) invited us to his daughter's wedding. There we met many of our ex-colleagues which we have not seen for ages from different departments. The excitement was so great and the lost years seem to just melt away. That is when I decided I need to do one with my own 'gang'. Many however have left for greener pastures overseas. The rest that are still here are all doing well, married with kids. One of the ex-colleague that I met at a wedding, passed on a month later. This was totally unexpected and the few of decided its time we make an effort and meet the rest.

Those last 2 'late' attendees were made to name each and everyone of us else they can't sit down.  For me I have not seen some of them for almost 16 years. I couldn't recognise at least 2 of them. Most of the ladies have maintained well but the men has grown prosperous and balding too.

We sat around a long rectangular table and one of them suggested that rather than we just speak to the few nearby, we make it like an orientation style. We we round to each and everyone to update us on what happened after they left NCR. That was a fabulous idea. It's almost like first day at school. We had so much laughter.

The food was good but pricey. We had pizzas, pasta, salads and a surprise 'piece' of birthday cake for one of them who had just turn 43 2 days ago.

The evening passed by so fast. We certainly didn't have enough. Well, the next time we meet, it will be high tea.

Mobile Bill - MMOBILE

Each month whenever I receive my mobile bill, my heart would go pounding because on and off I have charges which I have no idea where they come from.

This month, another shock.
What are these SMS Content Services ( sorry a bit blur)? In my conscious mind, I have never sent nor subscribe to anything? Why are they always doing this to us???

No : 36881 anyone? I have checked my phone sms, no sms made on 12/2/2016. If we call up celcom, they probably say don't know.

In the past, due to my boy's ignorance, we  once have a bill of RM200++ for mobile data which we did not subscribed. In fact my boy is only using wifi. We lodged a complaint but so far no updates yet.

My hubby did a google and found that the number belongs to

SMS# 36881 (Macrokiosk Berhad; Tel: 0321643273)

Someone complained and got the following response :

Do be informed that it is an External service Content provider-MACRO SMS  and service is rendered to user when request is either made via wap or sms from user;s end. Charges are valid and we had escalate your request to the service provider for cancellation of service.

Gosh...I hate this!!!
