At the same time, I made guilinggao, cut into strips just like how I cut the sweetened cincau and dump them into my rock honey syrup. By the way, I don't like this brand of guilinggao. it is hard to disolve unlike the other brand I tried earlier.
Here's my refreshing guilinggao + cincau drink. Purposely put it next to my plant to show the height of my plant, so that I will know how much it has grown the next time.
Anyone else like cincau like me? It's addictive.
My spouse likes to eat cincau too. He always buy the Cheong Fatt sweet cincau packs from Aeon Supermarket and eat them with cold kosong barley water without any sugar as the cincau itself is sweet. Which brand of cincau is your favourite cincau?
ReplyDeleteThe one I tried is always from the morning market. Eerr..the picture above - can't see the brand. It is also sweetened.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the unsweetened cincau, can adjust the sweetness, best drinking cincau during hot weather.
ReplyDeleteI tried the unsweetened cincau, texture is harder. I like the sweetened one, nice to chew, ha!ha! Of course not healthy if taken too much so I reduce the sweetness of the syrup.
DeleteThere is unsweeten cincau leh. can buy that and add own sugar syrup. Am not fond of cincau but i like the Guilingao .
ReplyDeleteUnsweetened cincau not nice leh! Aiyo, sweetened cincau so nice you don't like, you like the bitter guilingao pulak. But it's good, guilingao definitely healthier than sweetened cincau.
DeleteNever heard of guilinggao + cincau together. :)
ReplyDeleteI like cincau too, but if I don't start then I don't have it at all for years.
haha tracy, just to mask my bitter guilinggao. It's true I haven't had cincau for the longest time and suddenly when I tried , I just can't stop ..for now.
